I just got back from the Denver Plein Air exhibit at the Denver Public Library. The paintings were great, but the best part was finding the conference room the bosses use. On the seventh floor, all the way to the west, you’ll find one of the best rooms in the city.
It’s the top of the tower over the art museum entrance, and the dotted pyramid is echoed inside. The table from the 1997 G8 summit is there too, and it is very impressive. I’d want to hold a meeting at it. But the absolute best part is the views. There are windows all along three walls, and each one is wonderful. To the South, is the Libeskind wing of the Denver Art Museum. The Ponti wing is to the west. Both are made from tiles that catch the light, so I recommend going back during different times of day and seeing the changes. North is Civic Center Park and downtown. Only the state capital is hidden. The purple City and County building can bee seen from two sides.
I strongly recommend going and seeing the show. If not for the art, then for the room.
